Synopsis
Set against the backdrop of the old Jeollanam-do Provincial Hall, this is the story of the people who lived through the same span of time as the building itself.
A play about a building left standing and the people who are gone — here, the building itself is the protagonist. At Asia's largest venue, 'Theatre 1,' the audience is carried through the painter's memories alongside the actors in moving seats.
By erasing the name Gwangju, the history of Gwangju is rewritten as the history of the people, and the Gwangju Uprising is rewritten as an uprising of the people themselves.
